I am a Melkoniantsi I demand answers

Melkonian Educational Institute (MEI)
Melkonian is an Armenian Boarding school located on the island of Cyprus. It was established in 1926 by Krikor and Garabed Melkonians who later handed over its governance to the Armenian General Benevolent Union (AGBU). Over 70 decades it served as a home away from home for thousands of Armenian students who came all over the world. Its excellent educational system, learning environment and high standards secure the graduates to be successfully in universities of their choice.

Today AGBU wants to close the school, however it is not that easy task as they initially thought. AGBU Central Board made this decision behind closed doors and in secrecy. They have a history of producing misleading information. There are lots of unclear and unclean things. The Alumni stands strong and united as never before to challenge their destructive decision.

SaveMelkonian Campaign
As an Alumni member I have my own part in saving Melkonian. That is, spreading the news in Armenian community, uniting the Alumni, pressing AGBU for answers and question their integrity and honesty.
With other two Alumni members we started SaveMelkonian Campaign and Melkoniantsi International which are presented by www.savemelkonian.org website  Now it is the most famous Melkonian website in the Internet.

Yerevan April 04
Berge Setrakian the President of ABGU CB faces a total fiasco in front of Armenian Media and TV

	Sedrakian was 30 minutes late. It was enough for us to hijack the press-conference.
	Some TV chanels asked me to take Sedrakian's sit and start it. I chose not to do that.
	It was not a good day for Mr. Sedrakian. Is that him wiping his tears?
